A lightning round is a time-limited window during which claimers can submit for a bounty. When the round ends, no new claims are accepted; existing submissions are evaluated according to the bounty’s claiming model.

When to use

  • As a creator Use a lightning round when you want a clear cutoff (e.g., “submit by Friday 5pm”) or to create urgency.
  • As a claimer Submit before the round closes; late submissions are not accepted.

How it works

  1. The bounty creator sets a lightning round with a start and end time.
  2. During the round, claimers can submit.
  3. When the round ends, the creator or judge evaluates submissions and selects the winner(s).
  4. Funds release from escrow to the winner(s).

Tips

  • Check the round end time in the bounty details and submit with enough time to fix any issues.
  • Creators: set a reasonable window so time zones and availability are clear.
