You create a bounty by defining the task, reward, and claiming model, then locking the reward in trustless escrow.

Before you create

  • Set up your wallet with enough XLM (and Spark if required).
  • Have a clear task description and acceptance criteria.

Steps

1

Define the bounty

Write the task title, description, deliverables, and acceptance criteria. Be specific so claimers know what to do.
2

Choose claiming model

Select one of the four claiming models: first to complete, best submission, split, or custom.
3

Set the reward

Set the reward amount (XLM or other supported asset). This amount will be locked in escrow.
4

Fund escrow

Lock the reward in escrow. The bounty becomes open for claims once funded.
5

Review and publish

Optionally set a deadline or lightning round. Publish the bounty.

After publishing

  • Claimers will submit according to the claiming model.
  • You (or a judge) review and select the winner(s); funds release from escrow to them.
  • If there’s a dispute, see Handle disputes.
