TL;DR: Boundless uses Didit for identity verification (KYC). You need to complete KYC before you can withdraw your Stellar assets (e.g., to an external wallet or to fiat). This guide outlines the process.

What you’ll learn

  • When KYC is required (withdrawals)
  • That verification is powered by Didit
  • The steps to complete verification
  • Where to check supported countries

When KYC is required

Withdrawing your Stellar assets (e.g., XLM) from Boundless requires KYC. That includes:
  • Withdrawing to an external wallet
  • Converting to fiat (off-ramping) when that feature is available
So: you can earn and hold a balance without KYC, but to take assets off the platform you must complete identity verification. Some programs (e.g., certain grant or campaign rules) may also require KYC for compliance; check the program details.

How Boundless does KYC: Didit

Boundless partners with Didit for KYC. Didit is an identity platform that handles ID verification, liveness checks, and related compliance. Your verification runs through their flow; Boundless receives the result (e.g., approved, declined, or in review).

Steps

1

Start verification

In the Boundless app, open the verification or account settings section and start the KYC flow. You’ll be guided to Didit’s verification experience.
2

Complete the checks

Follow the prompts: you may be asked for an ID (e.g., passport or national ID), a selfie, and/or a liveness check. Didit runs these in real time.
3

Wait for the result

Didit reviews your submission. You’ll be notified when verification is complete or if more information is needed. Boundless will then know whether you’re verified for withdrawals.

Supported countries

KYC and withdrawal availability depend on jurisdiction and what Didit supports. See Supported countries and check the app for your region.
