XLM (Stellar Lumens) is the native asset of the Stellar network. On Boundless it’s used for rewards, payments, and fees. You earn XLM on the platform (it goes to your Boundless balance), or you can add it via the app when that’s supported.

Off-ramping (XLM -> fiat) is an upcoming feature. When it’s available, you’ll need to complete KYC first (Boundless uses Didit for verification). Withdrawing your Stellar assets from the platform (e.g., to an external wallet) already requires KYC. See Off-ramping and Supported countries.
