Community validation lets the community (e.g., backers or designated validators) influence or approve steps in a campaign such as unlocking funds for a milestone or verifying that a goal was met.

How it works

  • Validation triggers The campaign creator defines when validation is needed (e.g., before releasing a milestone, or to approve a change).
  • Who validates Depending on setup: backers vote, designated validators approve, or the community signals in a defined way.
  • Outcome If validation passes, the corresponding action (e.g., release of funds) proceeds; otherwise it may be delayed or reverted according to campaign rules.

For creators

  • When creating campaigns, you can enable community validation and set the rules (who votes, threshold, etc.).
  • Use it to build trust: backers see that releases are gated on community approval.

For backers

  • You may be asked to vote or signal on milestone releases or other campaign decisions. Your participation helps keep campaigns accountable.
