To take part in a Boundless hackathon, you register, build your project, and submit before the deadline. Prizes are awarded through the event’s judging, and some events also have post-event milestones.
You can browse hackathons on Boundless today. The self-serve screens for registering and submitting are still rolling out, so for some events registration and submission are handled by the organizer (for example, through an event link). The steps below describe how it works.

Before you start

Steps

1

Find an event

Browse open hackathons and check the dates, tracks, and prize pool.
2

Register

Register yourself or your team according to the event rules.
3

Build

Build your project within the hackathon period. Follow the event’s theme and rules.
4

Submit

Submit your project (link, repo, demo, or form) before the submission deadline.
5

Judging and prizes

Judges score submissions and winners are announced. Prizes are released from escrow. If the event has post-event milestones, complete them to receive additional payouts.
