Grants on Boundless fund projects through an application process and milestone-based payouts. Funds are held in on-chain escrow and released as milestones are completed and approved. Every grant pays out milestone by milestone, never a single lump sum up front.

Key concepts

  • Grant program A funding pool and set of rules (e.g., focus area, eligibility). See Run a grant program.
  • Distribution How the budget is split across winners. Each winning position (1st, 2nd, 3rd…) gets a set share, and the shares add up to 100%. See Grant types.
