You can browse grants and apply today. Some organizer and milestone screens are still rolling out, where a flow isn’t fully in the app yet, this guide describes how it works.
Grants on Boundless fund projects through an application process and milestone-based payouts. Funds are held in on-chain escrow and released as milestones are completed and approved. Every grant pays out milestone by milestone, never a single lump sum up front.

Key concepts

  • Grant program A funding pool and set of rules (e.g., focus area, eligibility). See Run a grant program.
  • Grant sizes Each program sets the largest grant one recipient can get, and can also set a smallest grant and how many grants it makes. Depending on the program, you ask for an amount in that range or the organizer sets it when approving you. See Grant types.
  • Application Your proposal, broken into the milestones you’ll deliver. See Apply for a grant.
  • Milestone delivery How you submit work and receive each payout. The program approves each milestone before funds release. See Deliver milestones.
