# Supported countries

> Where Boundless and identity verification are available.

Boundless availability, including [KYC](/start-here/verify-your-identity) (powered by [Didit](https://didit.me/)), depends on your country or region. **Withdrawing** funds requires KYC. Restrictions are in place for regulatory and provider reasons.

## Frequently Restricted Jurisdictions

Boundless does **not** support users located in the following (non-exhaustive) jurisdictions due to international sanctions and regulatory requirements:

* Iran
* North Korea
* Syria
* Cuba
* Venezuela
* Russia
* The Crimea region

This list is not exhaustive and may change due to evolving sanctions or regulatory requirements. Users in these jurisdictions are not permitted to access the platform or its services.

## What varies by region

* **Platform access:** Use of bounties, hackathons, grants, and crowdfunding (Projects) may be limited in some jurisdictions.
* **KYC and withdrawals:** Identity verification is required to withdraw funds. KYC is provided by Didit; availability depends on what Didit supports in your region.
* **Cashing out:** Converting USDC to local currency is done through a cryptocurrency exchange, which has its own regional support. See [Converting USDC to local currency](/reference/converting-usdc).

## How to check

* When you sign up or verify your identity, the app will show whether your region is supported.
* For the latest list of supported countries, check the [Boundless app](https://www.boundlessfi.xyz) or contact [Support](/support/contact-us).

## Your responsibility

You are responsible for complying with local laws. Do not use VPNs or false information to access the platform from an unsupported or restricted region.
