# Security & privacy

> How Boundless handles security and user privacy.

Boundless is designed to keep your assets and data secure while giving you control over your wallet and identity.

## Account and balance

* **Managed wallets:** Boundless [abstracts wallets](/concepts/wallet-and-balance) for you: the platform holds your balance. You sign in with email (and the method the app provides). **Passkey sign-in is planned for the future.** Never share your login credentials; anyone with access could use your account.
* **Escrow:** Funds are held in [on-chain escrow](/concepts/escrow-and-human-review); release follows programmatic rules, not a single custodian.

## Data and privacy

* **Identity:** KYC data is used for verification and compliance and is handled according to our privacy policy and applicable law.
* **Usage data:** We collect and use data necessary to operate the platform, prevent abuse, and improve the product. See our privacy policy for details.

## Best practices

* Use a strong, unique password for your Boundless account.
* Do not share your login credentials (email/password or recovery details) with anyone.
* Verify URLs and only use the official Boundless app or site.
