# Grant programs

> Overview of grant programs and how to find them on Boundless.

Grant programs on Boundless are funding initiatives with defined scope, eligibility, and rules. Each program may have its own focus (e.g., ecosystem, tooling, research) and [grant type](/contributors/grants/grant-types).

## What a program defines

* **Focus area** Topics or goals the program funds.
* **Eligibility** Who can apply (e.g., individuals, teams, regions).
* **Grant type** Milestone-based, one-time, or other.
* **Application and review** How to apply and how decisions are made.
* **Milestone structure** If applicable, how milestones and payouts work.

## Finding programs

* Browse the Grants section for open programs.
* Check deadlines, requirements, and reward ranges before applying.

## Applying

Follow the [application process](/contributors/grants/apply) for the program you choose. After acceptance, use [milestone delivery](/contributors/grants/deliver-milestones) to receive payouts.
