# Build your reputation

> Practical steps to build reputation on Boundless.

[Reputation](/concepts/reputation) on Boundless reflects your track record. Higher reputation can improve your chances of being selected for bounties, grants, and hackathons, and can help backers and funders trust you.

## What helps

* **Complete bounties** Deliver quality work and close bounties successfully.
* **Deliver grant milestones** Submit on time and meet the stated criteria so milestones are approved.
* **Participate in hackathons** Submit valid projects and complete post-event milestones when applicable.
* **Deliver on campaigns** If you run a crowdfunding campaign, deliver on your [milestone structure](/backers/milestones-and-releases).
* **Avoid disputes** Resolve issues constructively; see [Handle disputes](/help/disputes-and-moderation).

## What hurts

* Uncompleted work, rejected milestones, or failed deliveries.
* Disputes that resolve against you or repeated policy violations.

## Tips
