# Find opportunities

> Browse and filter bounties, hackathons, grants, and crowdfunding projects across Boundless.

> **TL;DR:** Use **Discover** to browse everything in one place, or open a single pillar to focus. Bounties, hackathons, and grants are listed as **opportunities**; crowdfunding items are listed as **projects**.

## What you'll learn

* Where to browse across all pillars
* How to narrow results with search and filters
* How to read a listing before you commit

***

## Browse everything with Discover

**Discover** brings bounties, hackathons, grants, and projects together in one view. Search by keyword and filter by category to find work that fits your skills.

## Focus on one pillar

If you already know what you want, open a pillar directly:

* [Bounties](/contributors/bounties/overview), paid tasks
* [Hackathons](/contributors/hackathons/overview), time-boxed events
* [Grants](/contributors/grants/overview), milestone funding
* [Crowdfunding projects](/backers/overview), projects to back

## Reading a listing

Before you apply or register, check:

* **Reward or funding**: the amount and how it's split (prize tiers, milestones, or distribution).
* **Requirements**: skills, deliverables, and whether an application is needed.
* **Timeline**: the submission or milestone deadlines.
* **How winners are chosen**: a single reviewer, a panel, or a community vote.

<Tip>
  Opportunities close on a deadline. Open the ones you're interested in early so you have time to apply or build before they close.
</Tip>

## Next steps

* [Join and submit to a hackathon](/contributors/hackathons/join-and-submit)
