# Applying for bounties

> How to find and apply for bounties on Boundless.

To claim a bounty, you submit work (or a claim) according to the bounty’s rules and mode. This guide covers how to find bounties and apply.

## Before you apply

* Read the bounty description, deadline, and [mode](/contributors/bounties/bounty-modes).

## Steps

    Browse the Bounties section. Filter by skill, reward size, or mode.

  <Step title="Read the rules">
    Check requirements, deliverables, and how the winner is chosen, whether one contributor is picked or several compete and the best wins.

  <Step title="Submit your claim">
    Submit your work or application as specified (link, file, form) before the deadline.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for resolution">
    The creator or judge reviews submissions and selects the winner(s). Funds release from escrow to the winner(s).

## Tips

* Deliver exactly what the bounty asks for to avoid disputes.
* For best-submission bounties, present your work clearly so judges can evaluate it fairly.
