# Discover projects

> Browse crowdfunding projects on Boundless and find ones to back.

> **TL;DR:** Browse live crowdfunding projects, see how close each is to its goal and where it is in its journey, and open one to vote or back it.

## What you'll learn

* Where to find projects
* How to read a project card
* What the different project states mean

***

## Find a project

Open **Crowdfunding** to see live projects, or use [Discover](/contributors/find-opportunities) to browse projects alongside everything else on Boundless. Crowdfunding items are called **projects** (not opportunities), because you back them rather than compete for them.

## Reading a project

Each project shows:

* **Funding progress**: how much has been raised toward the goal.
* **Milestones**: the stages the creator will deliver, and how funds release across them.
* **Who's behind it**: the creator, and the delegated reviewer who validates milestones.

## Project states

A project moves through a few stages, and what you can do depends on where it is:

* **Voting**: the community decides whether the project should launch. Any signed-in user can [vote](/backers/vote-on-campaigns).
* **Funding**: the vote passed and the project is live; you can [back it](/backers/back-a-project).
* **In delivery**: the creator is shipping milestones; funds release as each is approved.
* **Completed**: all milestones delivered.
